What’s it 

all about?

This August 2026, two celestial events happen to be coinciding: a total solar eclipse across Spain, and Joey taking his 50th trip around that same sun. We will be celebrating with our dearest friends and family from near and far. It means the world to us if you are planning to join us in Valencia for some or all of the festivities. We hope to make your time there unforgettable.

Activities

A few things we are planning that you are welcome to join.

  • Radio City is a bar in Old Town Valencia with proper flamenco shows every Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m.

  • Come join us for an all day hang at the villa — swimming at the pool, food and drinks into the evening, watching the eclipse over the orchards. All are welcome to come anytime.

    The solar eclipse will begin at 7:30 p.m. and reach totality at 8:33 p.m. Eclipse viewing glasses provided.

    We've confirmed the sun will still be in the sky at totality, and clouds are uncommon at that location at that time of year. However, if the forecast calls for a cloudy evening, we may make a last-minute pivot and head farther west for a clearer view..

  • We have reserved space at an amazing restaurant by the sea that specializes in paella. Casa Carmela.

    Tio Toni Casita Room reserved - available as of 1pm.

    We’ll aim for Spanish lunch hours, eating around 2pm.

    More merriment into the night

    It will take place outside, so dress accordingly for the heat. Hopefully it’s more bearable as the sun, and the drinks, go down.
